My sister requested a Cassata Cake for her birthday and I came to Tringali's to check out the quality of their pastries. Picked up a couple of Edise to go which I now understand is a local favorite and I can see why. It's a a deep fried doughnut-like pastry of sweet dough with a crusty exterior filled with cannoli cream.
My sister is going to get her cake, but I'm sold on the Edise alone. Such an amazing treat especially if you're having an off day. -

Based on this Lemon Meringue pie, what a pie. It is just a perfect balance of lemon and tart. Eyes do not cringe from over tartness. I only had a few taste of lemon meringue pie over my life which is why I do not eat it. So good job.

I love Tringali's, been coming here for decades. Their cannoli are simply terrific. They have all kinds of fresh baked goods, cookies, cakes, cup cakes, breads...sooooooo good. They also carry a variety of Italian grocery items from pasta to olive oil. But those cannolis...the crispy shells, the creamy delicious filling with chocolate chips sprinkled in it, the ends are slightly dusted with ground almond...I love them. They come in regular and mini sized. The regulars are like $1.75 a piece. I used to buy them by the dozen for family events, parties and work treats. This last trip to the D, I drove 10 miles out of my way to get 1. Fantastic. They also take that delicious cannoli filling and put it in cakes and cupcakes. Check them OUT!

Best cannolis you'll ever have and their fresh baked bread ,in any form will not disappoint. Their butter cookies are great too and every once in a while they put out a special product for an upcoming holiday. It's a great family owned establishment to stop by if you want to bring your family and friends something they'll really enjoy.
